LMS Snapshots - How Edits to a Course affects Enrolled Learners
Introduction
When a Learner starts a Course, the LMS builds their list of Course Items. This is their Course Snapshot. If that Course is then edited, not all of the changes will affect that Learner's Course Snapshot.
What is not Affected by Course Edits
Adding, Removing, and Inactivating Course Items does not affect an enrolled Learner's Snapshot. For example, if you remove a Course Content Item, or if you add a Course Assessment Item, their list of Course Items will not change.
What is Affected by Course Edits
Changing a Course Container (such as a Chapter), or changing any field on a Course, a Course Container, or a Course Content Item will affect an enrolled Learner's Snapshot. For example, if you change a Course's Passing Percentage, add a Chapter, or change which Assessment Form an Examination points to will affect the Learner.
