Credit Card Swipe: Admin and Cart
As a shopping cart customer or admin impersonating you have the option to swipe cards on the credit card entry pages rather than having to manually type in the card number using a SRED device.
Getting Started
There is a config that must be enabled by a support representative in order for this feature to function. Once this feature has been turn on you may now use a SRED device to swipe credit cards during payments and when setting up new methods of payments on an account.
Swiping Credit Cards
For events where you will have attendees purchasing tickets or merchandise onsite in person this feature will allow you to swipe the customer's card at the point of sale. This removes the need to key in the card number. Once the card has been swiped it will be saved to the attendee's account so it can be used for future purchases.
Using Card Swipe on the Admin Side
Example:
An attendee called in to purchase a ticket over the phone and you will be collecting the payment when they arrive at the venue. The order was placed on the Admin side with Pay Later. Now it's the day of the event and you are collecting payments from attendees.
Under the attendee's account on the admin screen find the order for which you want to take payment on. Click the Add payment to order button.
