Refunding Layaway Products
Overview
Refunding Layaway Products may seem like a complicated process as there aren't scheduled payments or subscriptions to cancel and remove. When customers have placed a deposit amount, the value can either be left as non-fundable or it can be refunded during the removal process. In instances where a customer needs their purchased Layaway Product refunded, there are two ways to do it: refunding and removing the Product, or transferring the funds.
Refund and Remove
Transfer
In cases where the customer would like their payment transferred to another Product (such as if they purchased the wrong Product), this can be done by transferring.
Note: this process cannot transfer funds from one Account to another.
To do this, navigate to Accounts and search for the intended Account.
Once you have located the Account, select History:
Viewing the Account History allows you to view the status of the payment.
