Receive low inventory notifications via email. Start by going to Email Messages and add a new email with the Type of Low Inventory Warning. 
Create email and pick Product Name and Product Remaining Quantity.
Note: Make sure that the email is active! 
On the Region's page pick the Inventory Manager on the assignments list. Drag over an Unassigned user over to Assigned. 
Note: To change the amount of product that is left before the system fires this email go to Settings > Configuration and search Inventory. Change "The inventory threshold at which a low inventory email will be sent"
