Introduction
Your database is integrated with Facebook pixel, which enables you to "measure, optimize and build audiences for your Facebook advertising campaigns, and to leverage the actions people take on your website across devices to inform more effective campaigns," according to Facebook. Once you have your Facebook pixel ID, you can add it to your database as a System Configuration, as shown in this article, or they can be added to individual Products.
Getting Started
If you have not done so already, create a Facebook pixel. In the Facebook pixel, locate the Facebook URL and take only the pixel ID from it.
Next, login to the Administrative side of your Configio database and navigate to Settings->Analytics:
Click "+ Analytics":
Fill out the Title, Type, and ID fields. NOTE: The ID Field will be the Pixel ID that you copied from URL in the first step:
Then, navigate to Settings --> Setup --> Configuration. Search for "facebook pixel", select your Facebook pixel ID, and click the Save button.
Testing your Pixel
Facebook Pixel Helper is an extension that you can add to your Chrome web browser. Download and install it. Then, when you go to your Configio Shopping Cart, you will be able to use the Helper to see your Pixel in action.
Here is the Pixel working on the Product List page:
Here it is working on the Product Details page:
Here it is working on the Purchase Confirmation page. As you can see, this page has different PageView Events than the Product List page or the Product Details page -- the Events Purchase and CompleteRegistration have occurred.
