Topics Covered:

Allow fees to be discounted

Users can now set up discounts and have those discounts applied to fees as needed. This allows greater discounts for your customers.

To enable this feature, clients should contact Configio Support.

New logic has been created that will process fees before discounts so that the amounts from the fees can be factored into the discount.

Example: if the Product price is $100 plus a $15 fee (totaling $115), but the customer has a 25% off discount, the end price will be $86.25 with this Configuration enabled, rather than $90 without it enabled

WITH Configuration: $100 + $15 = $115 x 0.25 = $86.25

WITHOUT Configuration: $100 x 0.25 = $75 + $15 = $90.00

In addition to the above change, when this Configuration is enabled, admin users managing an existing order will be able to apply assigned fees in addition to an ad hoc Admin Fee to the order Product:

If an assigned fee is selected the amount will be pre-populated with the amount associated with that fee:

Example: when a camp charges a late pick-up fee, an admin user can navigate to the Account's Orders and select the Event Product Order and charge the late fee by adding an Admin Fee.

NOTE: After the Configuration is enabled through Configio Support, if users are missing the feature, please check user permissions! This feature is only available to admin users.

Reports updated to understand the new fee structure

Admins can now create reports to show the new fee structure that was added

A new data set "Fees" will appear when using a Payment Transactions report that will join to payments that are associated with fees (when fees are set to be treated as transactional line items):
